Today I turn one year older (the last of my 20's for those of you wondering) and I hope to have some time to sit, relax and just be still. My birthday wish would be for that sitting place to look like this...
And while I really "need" exciting items such as new tires (ugh don't get me started) I hope to get one thing that I "don't need"...perhaps this....

Yesterday I went to ADAC's Veranda Panel that featured Alessandra Branca, Robin Wilson and Windsor Smith. All three were wonderful and inspiring. More to come on that but I thought it I would end the week with images of Windsor's work. Most images have made their way around the blog world several times but I never get sick of looking at them....

A while back I asked for opinions on wood floors for bathrooms. Well, the response was great and now I want to know what you think about wood floors in the kitchen! I have only had tile (I have yet to have any input into a kitchen that I live in) but I think I would like wood. Are there downsides though? Dents, dings, spills?
