While I loved the main rooms in the house yesterday, this takes the cake...Country Living Idea House 2008

Hello Again

I love coming across homes I had forgotten about, even though they are memorable. *Update- This is Country Living, thank you everyone for the information! 2008 Idea House Country Living
More from this house tomorrow....

A Little Something Different...

Love this home full of quirky details belonging to Simon Finch...That roman shade is not what you typical see, love that it is different...
Nothing like a disco ball to lighten the mood...
Once again, cool window coverings..

If The Door Fits

This door instantly drew me in, I knew I had to see the rest of the house.
Doesn't this look like a place you would want to spend the Holidays?
So simple, so welcoming.
I love a wreath on every window.

Everything Old Is New Again: Guest House

James and Jo Ford's guest house isn't just any old house. It is actually their very first house. They sold it over 4 decades ago, then recently purchased it for $1 and moved the structure onto their family property. Think that is sweet? The icing on the cake is their designer son, Brad, made it over for them. Here is a bedroom before and after:What I love: the studded chest as a bedside table, the bedding-especially the pillows, the hanging lamps, the seagrass rug, and last but not least the wallpaper on the back wall. Perfection in a simple way.

Where To Begin? Farm Perfection.

This room from the farmhouse of the Orloff family is pretty perfect.Lets see: Huge detailed mirror, velvet sofa, white rug, cool lamp, large beautiful secretary, cute side table, zig-zag pillow, grey ceiling, and last but not least- fun yet classic wallpaper. Yes, Yes and Yes please.

Wood Kitchen Floors

A while back I asked for opinions on wood floors for bathrooms. Well, the response was great and now I want to know what you think about wood floors in the kitchen! I have only had tile (I have yet to have any input into a kitchen that I live in) but I think I would like wood. Are there downsides though? Dents, dings, spills? Let me know what you think!Image Veranda

Yes, I think I would like wood floors indeed but I am all ears!

Chairs, Chairs, Chairs

I love this picture, not just because it is peaceful and beautiful but because I love the idea of using a chair as a bedside table.Chairs are one of the cheaper pieces of furniture out there when you are on a tight budget. Both of these pictures inspire me to rethink the position of the chairs in my house.
Have some chairs that need a little TLC? Maybe these before and afters will inspire you...

For cheap side chairs I have had great luck at at garage sales, antique shops and Ebay.

Another crazy day, I can't wait for the weekend and to catch up on my blog reading!
