Quiet Time- Great Expectations

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

A couple of weeks ago we watched a sermon (yes, truth be told we usually "watch" church HERE) and the topic was baggage. The whole message really spoke to me, especially when Pastor Chris came to our "unrealistic expectation of this life". A lot of the time in today's world we expect Heaven on Earth. Or as as Chris put it, "We think God obligates himself to make Earth Heaven". Then he went on to point out that Jesus actually came to save us from this life.

I definitely "hope/expect" this life to be everything I want it to be, the reminder that it isn't supposed to be perfect by any means was comforting and thought provoking. Something I am still thinking about...

Today...

Today I will be on Laura's blog...Do people ever come into your life and you wonder why you are so lucky? That is how I feel about Laura. Besides being an inspiring artist she also has a heart of gold. I have a Blue Crab that proves it...

Wardrobe Change

Sometimes your windows need a wardrobe change. I think my windows are feeling bold. Maybe they have been looking at the Anthropologie site...More temptations for you and your home, Anthropologie

I'm Coming Home

Starting today I will be on a little hiatus. Posts will continue but I will be out of pocket for a while enjoying some R&R...with the real BFF (sorry Nate & Thom). Speaking of, today is the anniversary of this...and I could not be happier. Since I have very few wedding pictures on this computer I went to see what I posted last year and I must say, I still love everything on that post. I guess some things never change. Oh, and "I'm Coming Home" by Robert Earl Keen was our first dance sung by a great friend, it was perfect.
